A GREEN HAVEN FOR LEBANON
Trauma-Informed Design - A study that started with interviewing Lebanese citizens who were displaced from their homes due to the explosion that happened on the 4th of October in the Port of Beirut. This was caused by a large amount of Ammonium Nitrate igniting. This resulted in 7000 injuries and 218 deaths and rendered over 300,000 people homeless. Alongside this explosion, we were able to understand how other issues affected the daily lives of the people in Beirut. Key Approaches 1. Take a step back and listen to what is happening 2. Understand the principles of trauma-informed design 3. Create an empowering solution for pre, during and post-disaster relief
